We have owned a Weber grill and been following Weber recipes for almost 20 years. We have never had bad results! Every recipe is delicious. Our favorites from this book: Diablo Shrimp, Herb-crusted Salmon, and Salmon with Brown Sugar Mustard Glaze. NOTE: Apparently this book is out of print. Sorry! :( Find a used copy, or try another Weber cookbook.

This cookbook is always part of my gift at bridal showers, and the brides always tell me later how much they love it. I got this book when I was 30-something, and in many ways, it taught me to cook. It includes helpful advice like how to organize your pantry. Favorite recipes: Chicken chili quesadillas; Hamburger steak with mushroom gravy; and last but not least, the highly addictive Ziti with no-cook sauce.

His writing style is a little too cutesy sometimes, but this man does know how to make some good food! Our faves: Pork Souvlaki, Herb-Roasted Chicken Breasts and Cranberry Pumpkin Muffins. And yes, the muffins are low carb -- but even picky eaters will gobble them up!

CookWise: The Secrets of Cooking Revealed

Ever wondered what makes cookies soft and cakey vs. thin and crispy? Or the protein content of various flours? This book has the answers, along with expert recipes to demonstrate the concepts. (You might recognize the author as a some-time guest on "Good Eats.") The perfect gift for a food geek!

Lots of good low carb recipes. A couple faves: bleu cheese dressing; pork chops with mustard cream sauce.

I haven't cooked extensively from this book, but the few recipes I've tried have been easy and tasty. My Ancho-crusted salmon with avocado crema is based on a dish from this book.  I actually have the older version of this cookbook, but according to reviewers, they share many of the same recipes.
